This week in #52ancestors the theme is “Family photos”. Unsure if this meant any photos taken by a family member or photos of families, I thought I would add a few of both in this post as a gallery of snaps. Many of these photos have been used in previous posts.

Quiet a good gathering of photos . How we have all grown in the years you have been doing research.
When I look at that photo of you and mum when square dancing and then playing with the grandkids. One of my friends on Facebook mentioned there would be a good story with Mrs Avery and the dog and your life with her. Do you want to write a post about that or give me information to write one?
Hi Lyndal,
I have been scanning my photos so they don’t lose any more colour and definition. Saving them on my home computer as well as in the cloud on Flickr. I also keep my photos in a dark place so less sunlight to fade them.

A lot of my photos from the 70s and 80s have faded and lost colour definition. What causes this, and is there anything I can do?
